The Estonian Theeravaada Sangha has launched the translation project "Buddhavacana" or "Word of the Buddha", the aim of which is to translate the Pāli "Tipiṭaka" or "Three Baskets" containing all the Buddha's teachings into our beautiful mother tongue.

- Venerable Sudhamma Thero (BA and MA in Sanskrit and Pali)
- Erik Arro (Estonian philologist, language editor)
The initiation of the "Tipitaka" translation project was funded by Monica Thaddey of the Mahabodhi Metta Foundation (Switzerland).
