moment, for the duration of a snap of the fingers, is said to be the bhikkhu,
who lives not empty of jhāna, who follows the masters teaching, who acts
upon his advice, and who [rightly] partakes of the alms offered by the country
or the pious. How much more they who practice it more?”

Kasiṇa bhāvanā is a meditation method, which was practised during the Buddha’s lifetime and according to the Kāḷī-sutta, AN 10.26 (A.v.46), it was also practised by the Buddha himself. In modern days, kasina bhāvanā has become very rare mind development method. Anyway, all who have enough puññā can also learn and practice this so-called jhāna-highway.
This one-day kasiṇa bhāvanā meditation retreat will be conducted to fulfil the requirements of the Bachelor of Arts in Buddhist Studies (International Program, group project for Peace Studies course), in International College of Buddhist Studies, MCU.
